How does the payment work?
How does the travel compensation work?
We facilitate all the payments between the tutor and you. Prior to your first scheduled meeting with the tutor, we will send you an invoice for a trial class. The trial class always costs the base tutoring fee for a given class, without any DHG or travel compensation. Once the first trial class passed successfully, we switch to monthly invoicing. We always invoice at the beginning of the month to secure the payment for our tutors. Should you have an overage at the end of the month, we will refund you or carry it over to the next month. If you do not want to commit for a full month we are also able to invoice you in blocks of 4h.
Sometimes, our tutors have to travel quite a bit to get your house. To ensure that they can do this, we offer travel compensation to our tutors. 100% of the travel compensation goes to the tutor. It is applicable if the tutor has to travel 30 minutes or more to the requested location (one way). We always try to match our tutors based on the location but this is subject to availability. Our typical travel compensation ranges between 5-10 EUR/ session (depending on the travel time).
What is your cancelation policy?
We ask that, should you need to reschedule your tutoring session, to please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations will result in the lesson being charged.
